Our Cross Examination course is Ideal for further training for witnesses
Our 1 to 1 Intensive Cross-Examination course is designed for witnesses who have already undergone our Witness Familiarisation training and require the additional benefits of further cross-examination with detailed and constructive feedback from an experienced advocate in a mock setting. These sessions may involve mock examination-in-chief, if relevant and required for the participant.
The training can be booked as a 1.5 hour course or a 3 hour course, according to the needs of the witness. The 3 hour course can be delivered either as a single 3 hour session or as two separate 1.5 hour sessions, the latter option allowing the participant to spread out the training and to reflect on what they have learned in between sessions.
Who benefits from taking an Intensive Cross-Examination course?
This training is ideal for witnesses of fact, professional witnesses or expert witnesses who are likely to face detailed or lengthy cross-examination at an upcoming hearing.
The decision on whether, and how much, Intensive Cross-Examination training to have can be made by the witness after they have undergone the Witness Familiarisation course and viewed our video tutorials, so that they are able to determine how confident they feel about giving evidence. Conversely, the legal team may also encourage participants to undergo additional training in order for the witnesses to feel more comfortable and better prepared before a trial or hearing.
Either way, we are available to assist by providing realistic and robust mock cross-examination exercises followed by detailed and constructive feedback on a 1 to 1 basis to build confidence.
